How much does SEO cost in Manchester?

The price varies greatly between different agencies. Some agencies won’t get out of bed for less than £2,000-£3,000 per month while others (like us) have starter packages which start from £199 + vat per month. Anything less than £199 per month you want to be wary of as they will likely be using older style more automated techniques to keep their labour costs down. Very often these can be ‘black hat’ mostly ineffective and against Google’s guidelines

What is the SEO contract length?

Unlike other agencies, we work on a month to month basis and so are constantly incentivised to get results to retain your business. We find this works as there is no room for complacency – it keeps everybody on their toes. Most agencies will try to retain your business for a three-month period and there are justifications for doing that. With SEO there is a lot of work that is front loaded and it takes time and so one month is not really enough time to see the effects of the work being done. That being said there are often stones left unturned and quick wins to be made, and it is not unusual for our clients to see results within a few weeks, hence why we offer no fixed contracts. It is important the relationship is win-win.

Do you guarantee SEO results?

That’s the aim of the game! We are not connected to Larry Page and Sergey Brin though, despite the fact we spend over £1million a year on Google Ads with them, they’re not on the payroll and we have no control over Google’s more and more frequent algorithm updates. What we can say though is we’ve been in business a long time. 20 years online to be exact. We’ve tamed the Google Panda’s we’ve fed the Google Penguins and we’re still getting great results for our clients! SEO is not about gaming the system, it is about working within the Google Guidelines and creating great websites that people want to visit and either make enquiries or purchase from.

How long will it take to optimise?

If you don’t have a website, don’t delude yourself into thinking it is going to happen overnight, SEO takes time but at least we can guide you to get the foundations right, start small and build momentum.

If you have a terrible website, we will be the first to tell you! No amount of SEO effort is going to get a terrible website to perform. We need to make sure all of the ducks are in line!! We need to get right under the bonnet and understand who your customers are, what they are thinking before we can even start to consider outreach, links etc.
If you have a great website, then we can often see results fast by analysing where the cracks are and filling them.

Having a great website (well designed for user experience, well-constructed for mobile and desktop), with great relevant content, strong products/services and compelling offers / incentives is the position that you want to be in. We need to get right under the bonnet and understand who your customers are, what they are thinking before we can even start to consider outreach, links etc.

How long does it take for SEO to effect?

It depends on how competitive your market sector is and how long you have been operating for. If there are very few established competitors then it can happen very quickly. If it is a very lucrative area online and there have been heavily funded competitors operating for many years, then unless you have something revolutionary to offer it can take a considerable amount of time to reach top positions on generic search terms. The keyword ‘insurance’ for example is extremely competitive, companies will pay over £80 per click on Google Ads just to get you to click to view their websites!!

How Does Having a Blog Help With SEO?

Having a blog helps a lot with SEO if you are writing great relevant content that people want to read. It won’t do anything for you if it is rubbish content, written purely for SEO that nobody wants to read.

Why is mobile SEO important?

Mobile SEO is really important as Google now indexes mobile first! It switched in 2018 when mobile web traffic overtook desktop.

Is HTTPS important for SEO?

Yes, Google (and other search engines) are trying to make the web more secure and https is a secure way to send data between your web browser and a web server.

Why does SEO Agency need access to your Google Search Console?

Google Search Console is where Google reports on your site’s performance and highlights things you should fix. If you are trying to optimise your site for Google you should pay attention to them when they flag something that needs fixing!

How much do Google Ads cost?

Google Ads costs vary greatly. If there are no other ads running for the keywords you are looking to target then it can be very cheap (pennies) but if you are looking to set up an online casino and running ads at 2.30am when people have had too much to drink then you could be paying £150 a click!

Do you charge more if I spend more on Ads?

No. We charge a management fee which is based on time managing the account. Obviously if you choose to raise spend significantly then you are going to want to have your bid settings checked a lot more frequently to ensure you are getting maximum conversions at the lowest price point. We do like to set goals/targets for achieving results with bonuses for hitting them.

PPC Vs SEO - Which is better in the Long Run?

PPC and SEO are both good and work well together. PPC data can tell you which are your money keywords (Google Analytics now tries to hide this from you). PPC can give you instant traffic, SEO can take time.

Which social media channels do you recommend?

The ones that work the best for your business. There is no point for us of spreading your budget too thinly and trying to advertise your business on five or six channels – it won’t be profitable for you. Instead we are best focusing on being excellent on the two or three channels which work best for your business. Again, social media is one of those things that takes time, and so we need to make an investment of time over a sustained period of time in order to achieve results for you.

How often do you post on social media?

At least once a day. There is so much content out there, this is the minimum amount needed to ensure you are seen/heard. There is a thin line between posting too little and too much – if you post too little your followers will forget about you and if you post too much, they may find you annoying and unfollow you!

The general consensus is you should post on social media as follows:

Facebook – once per day
Twitter – three times per day
Pinterest – three pins per day
Instagram – once per day
LinkedIn – once per day

However, posting is only one aspect of social media management – we also need to spend time engaging with followers, and finding content to post as well.
